Once upon a time, a long, not so terribly long time ago, a group of friends in Sonoma County went wine tasting. "Wine is good, wine is special, wine is wonderful," they said to each other. "We must find a way to share wine with everyone!" they exclaimed.

Thus was born Likewine.com: a place for our merry band of sozzled friends to share our ideas and opinions about the wines we love and the wines we really didn't love as much. This site is about using the web to share our experiences with wine in order to make wine more accessible to everyone. Of course with all the great new technology we're able to share friendship and wine with far more people than just our small group; and we're also able to share our opinions and ideas about everything wine related.

We aren't wine snobs, we're people who are lucky enough to live in an area filled with wonderful wine. Our goal is to write reviews that are useful to anyone who has an interest in wine and all things wine related. We have noticed that our tastes are often quite different to the wine "experts." This is probably because we believe that wine reviews shouldn't alienate the reader, but rather assist them in choosing wines to enjoy.

We invite you all to join our community and share your experiences and thoughts; and further our enjoyment and your enjoyment of wine.

Read about the wines we like or don't like to drink; make new friends; learn about food that pairs well with wine; take luxurious baths in tubs overflowing with wine (well, okay maybe not that last one) and enjoy the site. Salute!
